Default Undertaker Injured for Months!

Quote:
PWInsider is reporting that World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker has suffered a serious torn bicep tendon and is scheduled to meet with a doctor in Birmingham, AL today to have the injury looked at.

According to one report, one person who has seen the injury said you can easily see where the torn muscle in his bicep has rolled up on his arm towards his shoulder. It remains to be seen what his in-ring status is at this moment until more is known. Either way, we will continue to follow this situation as it develops.

Quote:
As reported earlier, The Undertaker's expected long-term reign as World Heavyweight Champion could be in jeopardy after he suffered a torn bicep before Sunday's Backlash PPV where he competed against Batista in a Last Man Standing Match.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Undertaker met with Dr. James Andrews today in Birmingham, Alabama (which also happens to be the site of tonight's Smackdown & ECW TV tapings) and is scheduled to take part in tonight's tapings. He was said to have been in a tremendous about of pain on Monday morning after his PPV match with Batista.

Because the muscle has completely rolled up, the belief is that he suffered a complete muscle tear off the bone that will require surgery. Although Dr. James Andrews has yet to issue a formal conclusion, the general feeling within the company is that he will be out six to eight months. As a result, the planned Undertaker vs. Batista match for Judgment Day appears to be off. It should be noted that Undertaker was scheduled to have a long title reign this year and was going to work more House Show events than he has in many years in his career. This is one of the reasons why he trained himself into getting lean, allowing him to have lots of stamina and quickness in the ring. Based on all indications, Undertaker would like to drop the title in the ring instead of the company simply stripping him of it. However, that decision won't be made until Andrews provides a formal conclusion.

Wow he gets the title for probably what is the last time in his career and ready to go for a long run and this has to happen. You have to feel for the guy!

Update:

In a segment taped last night, Undertaker challenged Batista to a cage match next week on Smackdown, where he might lose the belt to Batista, or to Money in the Bank winner Mr. Kennedy.

The Coloradoan online newspaper has posted a story detailing Undertaker's (Mark Calaway) and business partner Scott Everhart's recent real estate investments in northern Colorado. The article also suggests that Undertaker should return to the WWE some time in October or November 2007.

That is good news I guess. It sucks that he got injured, but at least he is coming back. Initially I thought he would retire, but I guess not. Who do you think his next feud will be with upon his return?

I would have to go with Edge...

So a return around Survivor Series, It would be nice to include him in an angle where he's the "mistery" man on a SS team going against Edge's team.
