He beat Sting tonight at Genesis by DQ. According to TNA rules a title does change hands on a disqualification so Abyss is the new champ.

Very suprised he won it. You can't expect a long title reign though with Russo as the booker and Abyss is good but I don't think he is someone you want holding the title more than 2 ppvs.

I was very surprised to see Sting drop the title, especially to Abyss. But, I like Abyss a lot (he is one of my favorite TNA wrestlers), so I am happy for him. I do not expect him to hold it for very long though, which is a shame. But, I understand.
