For a change, WWE will be releasing two different versions of this year's Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania 23 will be available in one release, a two disc set, featuring all four hours of the PPV. The second release will be a three disc set called Wrestlemania 23: The Ultimate Edition. The three disc set will feature the event, plus the hall of fame ceremony, and bonus footage. The DVDs are scheduled for a 5/22 release.

I'll pick this one up in the Ultimate Edition just for the Hall of Fame ceremony. It will probably be a three or four dollar price difference.

Here's a heads up on anyone who is thinking about ordering the Royal Rumble Anthology

If your looking to get the Royal Rumble Anthology box which will be released on Tuesday set for a good price Walmart.com is your best bet. They currently have the set up on pre-order for only $158.66. From what I have seen that is by far the cheapest price that anyone is offering for the set.

Turning Point 2006 will be released on DVD on 4/17 as a Best Buy Exclusive, Destination X 07 will be available nationwide on DVD on 6/17, Lockdown 07 will be available nationwide on DVD on 7/27 and The Best of Abyss will be released nationwide on DVD on 7/31. No word yet on release dates for Against All Odds and Sacrifice 2007.

WWE will be releasing a three DVD set titled "The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin" on 11/20, just in time for the Christmas season. Promotional material for the DVD reads, "A career-spanning retrospective of the Rattlesnake that highlights Austin’s amazing career and his legendary rivalries with Bret Hart, The Rock, Mick Foley, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Kane, Scott Hall, Eddie Guerrero and more. Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Life and Legacy will also include footage and matches from WCW, ECW, and his Smokey Mountain days." Austin never actually worked for SMW.

If anyone has seen the Four Horsemen DVD

Paul Roma was actually baited into making the comments he did for the Four Horsemen DVD. At first, Roma actually did most of his interview completely favorable to his experience in the group and to Flair & Anderson. It was only when producers riled him up by saying they were negative towards him, that he came back as a reflex and changed his tune towards then. Roma would go on to say, "Ric Flair wanted to be me, but never could." Flair & Anderson didn't say anything negative about him at first, but once they shot the footage and showed it to them, it was very easy to get Anderson & others to knock Roma as a gym rat who wasn't fit to be in the group. The producers did all this to create controversy and to create an on-screen heel for the DVD.

The Ladder Match DVD should be a pretty good one. I enjoy watching ladder matches so I might have to purchase this one!

TNA’s Final Resolution DVD remained on Billboard’s Top 10 Sports rankings for the second straight week.

In related news, the Destination X DVD will be released to all major retailers June 19.

I do see a lot of the TNA DVDs at several of my local Wal Marts. I have never purchased any, but what do you think of the quality of TNA DVDs? Are they just as good as WWE's?

The new Backlash DVD at Blockbuster comes with a free bonus disc of Santino Marella beating Umaga for the IC title as well as the Lashley vs. Umaga no-DQ match.
