I believe yes.

A person that was born in the United States, lives in the United States decides to play for team Russia.

If Hammond was of Russian descent this would be understandable, but no, Hammond is American, zero Russian ancestry.

A selfish move by Hammond. Some people have no loyalty to this country. Anything for a buck.

I don't. If she didn't get a fair shake in the USA, especially after being one of the best players in the WNBA, then I'm all for her going somewhere. She's just trying to live one ofher dreams by playing in the Olympics.
