I'da thought this would be the "HOF" edition (Maddux/Ramirez). Maybe (Garciaparra) too?

And Dukes. Hope to god he doesn't end up like Garciaparra - 4 injuries away from HOF consideration. I'd be happy if he just hit more homers than Wee Keeler to start.

The current BPG emergency has to take precedence. Plus, I figured you guys didn't give a rip about Maddux -

Awful lot of weather out there tonight. Chance of a rain delay seems high. What's it like up there, is it as rainy as the weather map looks?

Light rain, getting a bit heavier. Light crowd. Starting on time.

Maddux looks comfy already. I don't like it. Just throw it where they can reach it and there you go.

Still looking for a Dukes comeback. He's the real centerpiece.

Dooksie with a ground ball RBI that the 3B can't field cleanly.

He makes a difference just being in the lineup. Big difference.

Guz flashing the leather, making the easy backhand tough. Redding needs to stay with the fastball like Sutton says. Both homers were on breaking pitches. Boner with a nice tag, although he was lucky he didn't break his wrist.

Redding tattoo you

Ronnie Roundtree finally gets one to pull. I have no idea why Maddux would throw him 4 strikes in a row.

Ronnie Roundhouse with the sac. grounder that Mills goes from 1st to 3rd on. And then he gets picked off. Nice.

Redbone performs Escape from LA, 4-3 home team after 6. Redding due up. 95 pitches. I say flog him for one more inning. But I always say that.

There goes Boni on the way to bunting .260. Right at Casey Blake for f*ck sake.

Cautiously optimistic. Maddux is about out of gas (long-term), I think.
