This could be the most important season since the Championship runs back in the late 90's. At the end of this year the Jazz well have to part with one of there major peaces in order to stay under the Lux tax. Larry Miller has already said that this team well not pay that tax while he is the owner. At the end of this year Milsap will be a free agent. Korver, Okur, and Boozer can all opt out of the final year of there contracts. With AK and Derons contracts already on the books for next year there is no way we can afford to pay all of these guys the money they well be thinking they are worth.
With that in Mind this year becomes almost a do or die year for a championship run. As I mentioned in another tread this is the most talented team that Sloan has ever coached. If we don't get a championship this year, or even if we do, we could be looking at a very different team next year. |
