Default Leafs sign Salmelainen to two-way deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs bolstered their depth chart at forward on Friday, signing winger Tony Salmelainen to a one-year, two-way contract.
Salmelainen, acquired by the Montreal Canadiens in June for forward Sergei Samsonov, became an unrestricted free agent after the club bought out his contract.
The Finnish forward scored six goals and 17 points in 57 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season.
