Quote:
(May 16, 2007) -- John Ferguson, vice-president and general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Wednesday that the club has signed defenceman Anton Stralman (STROHL-muhn) to a three-year, entry level contract.
The 6-1, 180 pound native of Tibro, Sweden, was the Toronto Maple Leafs’ fifth choice, 216th overall, in the 2005 National Hockey League Entry Draft. He played with Team Sweden at the 2005 and 2006 World Junior Championships and most recently at the 2007 World Championships in Moscow, Russia, collecting two points (one goal, one assist) in nine games. Following its conclusion, he was named one of the top three players on Team Sweden by tournament coaches.
