Hurting Leafs: No Tucker, Wellwood, White

Encouraging: Tucker still leads the Leafs with 19 goals, 13 of which are PP markers. Most of those 13 were from beauty feeds by Wellwood. Yet despite being without both Tucker and Wellwood since December, the Leafs are still FIFTH-best PP in the league.

In 24 away games this season, the Leafs have 27 points for a record of 12-9-3 on the road.

Steen is coming off a three-point night in the NHL Youngstars game, where he helped his team beat the Western Conference Youngstars 9-8.

Kaberle made his second all-star appearance, and helped his team be victorious as well.

Kaberle is sixth, and McCabe is tied for ninth in defenceman scoring league-wide, and fifth and fourth respectively in icetime. Despite the criticism of McCabe's salary, he's proving to still be one of the league's ten best yet again.

The "Nik and Pony" show returns. After missing more than ten games each to injuries, they both came back Jan 16 and made an immediate impact with a goal and an assist each.

Fastest three goals: Twice this season, the Leafs had three quick goals that made the list of quickest three goals in Leaf history.
  1. November 24 v. Caps: McCabe, O'Neill, Gill 0:60 in the second period
  2. January 4 v. Bruins: Battaglia, Steen, Newbury 0:42 in the second period.
The second one ties a record set on March 26, 2002, where Sundin scored one, followed by Domi with two goals within the same 0:42 in the third period to defeat the Lightning.

The only time the Leafs scored three goals in less time than any of the above records, was January 20, 1942. Schriner, Taylor, and Kelly scored three goals within 0:39 in the first period of a game v. the Americans.

The Leafs won ALL of the above games.

New Top Leaf?: Sundin is now only ten goals away from tying Sittler's 389 Leaf record.

Kubina with a PP goal; 1-0 Leafs!

Then O'Neill gets the second PP goal; 2-0 Leafs! (or maybe it was a tip-in by Stajan)

Either way, 2-0 Leafs so far.
