Kyle Wellwood to have surgery

Reports out of Toronto indicate that Kyle Wellwood will undergo surgery on his hip/groin area Tuesday.

He will likely be sidelined for six-eight weeks. That's too bad as Wellwood was having a breakout season with 31 points in 35 games.
