It is the halfway point of the season, do you think the leafs will make the playoffs?
Personally, I dont see it. Yes they have had alot of injuries, and are still basically a .500 team, but with the goaltending they have received so far this year and the play of some of their vets leads me to believe they wont be in it come playoff time. I think you might see ownership step in by mid february and tell ferguson to become a seller not a buyer and they will approach sundin about a trade. By Ferguson becoming a seller this deadline, they will be able to get some young talent and draft choices as well make ferguson thier scrap goat clearing a way for another G.M. to take over. just an opinion..... My buddies in high places (who will remain nameless) who i know personally and have eaten expensive dinners with because i used to be a self proclaimed failed tennis pro and the fitest man on the planet, tell me that the makers of viagra want to buy the Leafs because they think it will make the team big and strong and win for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooongD~~ time.
Please don't ask me who these people are. Because that's my game. I just want to make you think I'm so well connected with the most importand people on earth and drive you crazy. Oh man. That reminds me of a joke Nelson Mandela told me. Haha. Oh well, that's another story. Anyway, I'm off to the Whitehouse to give the Bush Administration my valuable knowledge on global warming. |
