After posting a 2-8-2 record in their last 12 games and falling to 14th place in the Eastern Conference, the Toronto Maple Leafs have called up goaltender Justin Pogge and claimed forward Dominic Moore off waivers from the Minnesota Wild.
The 21-year old Pogge is 13-3 with 4 losses in the shootout for the AHL Toronto Marlies. He has a 2.27 Goals against average with a .908 save percentage. Pogge could get the start in San Jose on Saturday but no decision has been made. The 2005-06 CHL goalie of the year was selected in the third round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Leafs. The 27-year old Moore has one goal and two assists in 30 games with the Wild this season. In 186 career NHL games with the New York Rangers and the Wild, Moore has accumulated 41 points. Moore was acquired from Pittsburgh for Minnesota's third-round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft on Feb. 27, 2007.
