Perhaps not everyone is familiar with the history of this sports forum. It goes back quite far.

I won't tell the complete story here. But suffice to say that it has gone through a number of changes, especially very recently. From about August of 2006 on, there have been at least three new forums created. This forum was the one that all the others are based upon.

There's been some hard feelings and bruised egos with all the changes. One of the arrangements that was finally undone in November was perhaps the single biggest reason for all the new forums. That's created the volatile mixture of feelings that end up turning or creating threads into "forum vs. forum" discussions.

I would respectfully ask that we all refrain from these types of discussions. We all have our differing opinions as to what happened, or why. We also all have differing opinions as to how best to proceed. I would think the one thing we should be able to agree upon is that discussions comparing or criticizing forums take away from simply posting about the Leafs.

That's what we're here for - to post about the Leafs.

The mere mention of another forum is not an issue. But please, don't create or turn discussions into "forum vs. forum" comparisons. This is Fanhome. This is the Leafs board.

Talk Leafs. That's what this board is for. Remember to follow the Community Standards as you post.

And thanks for dropping by.

Well you have two turds posting as teeder, and neither of them is the real teeder. Not exactly a great start and it is the reason, SO FAR, as to why this place is dead. Change that, and see the positives that flow from that.

All I know is my very first post came in a Leafs forum, here on Fan Home. Im glad its back and I hope it does very well.

I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement.
