The Toronto Maple Leafs assigned defencemen Jaime Sifers and Chris Harrington, centre John Mitchell, left wing Robbie Earl and goaltender Justin Pogge to Toronto of the American Hockey League on Sunday. Pogge, 21, played in the Leafs' first preseason game against Edmonton on Tuesday. Last season, he tallied a 19-25-2 record with a 3.03 goals-against average and .896 save percentage with the AHL Marlies. Earl, 22, played 67 games with the Marlies last season, scoring 12 goals and 30 points.
