Toronto may trade starting pitcher

The Toronto Blue Jays are still trying on the pitching side to shuffle the deck, possibly involving the trade of one of their surplus starters.

That's why they will not announce the final makeup of the rotation or the denizens of the bullpen until the end of spring training.

In a not-so-convoluted way, the successful six-inning performance of Josh Towers against the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday in a 2-2 tie affected every other piece in the Jays' jigsaw of a pitching staff.

Josh pitched good the other day in spring training, but can he rebound from his 2-10 season? I think the Blue Jays should trade the guy, in fact they have enough pitchers.....

Would have been a great move about a year ago.

Today, what do you think they'd get for a guy who was that bad last year and who's a soft tosser that doesn't impress scouts? My guess is something just above nothing.

less money to have to dish out. All the other options are cheaper.

But I think they'll keep him to determine
a) whether Zambrano is healthy
b) if Josh can go on a mini-roll out of the gate to bump his trade value.
