gotta broaden your thinking.....Cerutti and Candiotti brilliant careers??? Let me add on here... I am talking Hall of Fame, over 20 years, and a chunk of wins.

brilliant career? Hall of Fame, over 20 years....

Only guy who I can think of who played for the Jays and fits that bill is Phil Niekro.

His name came to mind, but I don't recall him being an announcer for the Jays.

Oh, was it a pitcher? I would think Winfield would count. You know He was pretty accurate with the arm back in 1983. Poor little birdie!!

Pitcher eh, let me think!

I thought we were looking for someone who had a HOF career but couldnt cut it as an announcer? I recall Molitor and Winfield doing a few Broadcasts. But i made the mistake on the pitching front. Duane Ward and Dave Steib have also had air time.

Onto the List.

Tom Cheek
Jerry Howarth
Dan Shulman
Mike Wilner
Buck Martinez
Jim Hughson
Fergie Oliver
Darrin Fletcher
John Cerutti
Pat Tabler
Brian Williams
Rance Mulliniks
Jamie Campbell
Rod Black
Warren Sawkiw
Tommy Hutton
Paul Romaniuk
Don Chevrier
Tom Candiotti
Vic Rauter
Tony Kubek
Rob Faulds

Obviously someone is missing, but who? Could it be Jack Morris, has he done any games?

Ah... I assumed the player had played for the Jays. If he didn't play for them, then it must have been one Early Wynn, who did games with Tom Cheek their inaugural season, and I think stayed around for a couple of seasons or so.

Its a bummer to get to your first big league game before your bags, you have to wear another guys jersey, like Shawn Green, steal Al Leiter's glove, and beg for a pair of cleats, however, thats how I broke in.
