I realize that its a little bit early yet, but I wanted to put some feelers out there for next season. The last few years there have been fanhome leagues with the Jays board, but activity has been a problem even from the commissioners. Since fanhome has been reborn and we seem to be beginning to create a nucleus of loyal posters to this board I thought we should think about forming a fantasy baseball league together for 2007.
Who would be interested in playing in the league? And who would be interested in organizing or commissioning the league? I have always been the fan of the 3 person commissioner committee, what do you guys think about that idea? Not to brag or anything, but I have won the fanhome league the last 2 seasons so I definetely want there to be another league out there so that I can try and make it 3 |

Well there are many variations of fantasy baseball. Basically you get 10-14 people together and we have a draft where we all choose various MLB players(with no 2 teams having the same player). Your players actual MLB statistics impact your teams success or failure in the standings.

I was thinking that maybe we should get a year or two in with the same group of guys, just to ensure everyone is active and then discuss making it a keeper league in the 2nd or 3rd year. But if everyone wants a keeper league I would be up for that.

TrueBlueJay, Drafts usually happen in February or March when the season is a little closer. I just wanted to gauge to see how much interest there is.
If you are that anxious though, I would be up for doing a mock draft in the near immediate future. |

I'd be happy to join, but due to work, an email league (when its your turn you pick, with time limits), I also prefer a keeper league, and turn around hasnt been a problem in a league I have been a part of for several years, the commish keeps a list of rosters (keepers) and a new owner takes over. Just like what would happen if a franchise moved aka Montreal.
