I dont like the fact that he just used the Jays to drive up his value. He clearly had no interest in coming back.
So yes, he can stick it. Well, his manager did try to choke him to death, doubt he had any leftover spite from that. |

Not surprisingly wrong again.
Agent Gregg Clifton said he has been telling teams to expect Mark Mulder (shoulder) to make between 20 to 25 starts this season. Mulder is expected to resume throwing off a mound on March 1, which could put him back in the majors by June. Source: East Valley Tribune |

please point out the statement where I said he will make 20-25 starts?
I made no such statement. I merely said I had heard he was coming back in May. You say July. June 1 is the actual date according to rotoworld. June 1 is right in the middle of that. neither one of us was right, if that rotoworld report turns out to be true. Last edited by TrueBlueJay; December 8th, 2006 at 02:32 PM. |

If he came after "likely missing only the first month." how would he be in line for only the 20-25 starts his agent suggests. Wouldn't he be more in line for 30 if he only missed the first month?
Sidenote: This is what his agent is telling people about his client. I think we both can agree that he may error just a tad on the side of optimism as well when it comes to millions of dollars. |

ummmm,
read the last page or so again. I think you missed a big something. (psst: the part where I never said how many starts he would make. I never went there.) (psst part 2: I think you also missed the part where I said I originally heard it was a month, but that must be wrong since rotoworld says its June 1, thats 2 months) |

Sure you did: I read he will likely miss only the first month. If he only is missing the first month, he is making 30 starts. Do the math. If he is not missing May-end of season, he is makine 30 starts. So yes, that is what you are saying. You have this fictional land where he is back, yet not pitching, that is not really back unless you count his moral support from the dugout. If he does come back on June 1st, is he going to be 100 percent healthy? Because that is what I was stating. |
