The Rangers worked out free agent Sammy Sosa at Ameriquest Field on Monday. Sosa also met with general manager Jon Daniels over dinner Monday night. The thought that Jason Botts' next snub might come at Sosa's hands is pretty sickening, but even if Sosa is signed, it's doubtful he'll be guaranteed anything. |

According to MLB.com, the Rangers and Sammy Sosa have agreed in principal to a minor league contract.
Sosa will only be guaranteed $500,000 if he makes the team, though he could command substantially more in incentives. A deal could be finalized before the end of the week. |

ESPN's Wojciechowski -- yeah, I copied and pasted that name -- has a pretty nice article on Sosa.
If he works out, that's a heck of a deal.
