FOr the love play gomes 5 times a week minimum. I know upton is back but for you to give playing time to a bum journeyman at best norton. No wonder everyone who follows baseball thinks you're morons.
Eventually someone is going to trade for Gomes or pick him up off waivers and there will be coulda woulda shoulda out of the mouths of the ones in charge. ![]() |

Totally agree, the only reason they probably played Norton is because he's a switch-hitter. But, the way Gomes hits fast-balls, and he's been batting .500 for the last 6 games, send him out there and let him drive the Rocket's (less than stellar) fastballs over the left-field wall.

Only guy not to get at least two hits... or a hit.
How freaking stupid do you have to be to send down gomes to AAA once now you're putting him on the bench... You couldn't trade norton to the mexican league for a grande meal at Taco Bell. |

Another blown lead by the bullpen and Baseball Tonight ragging on the Rays again. Hope Stu's enjoying going to the bank all the time while "his" team's the laughing stock of the league.
Way to go Sternberg! ![]()

Jonny Gomes ties it up in the 8th with a grand-slam, then the bullpen (Wheeler) gives up 3 in the bottom of the inning, game over.
Way to go Stu, same ole same ole! At least they got rid of the Fossum Flip (going out of the park). ![]()
