Default Game night thread -- Capitals vs. Lightning

I wonder if Ranger is sitting tonight to rest up the knee? And I'm wondering if Denis starts in net?

...and if Vengeance is on the mind of the Lightning, who were embarrassed 7-1 last time out against the Caps?

Vital two points none the less.

Please no Denis . . . I can't bear to watch him in net anymore. Maybe after Vinny finally scored his 50th last night, he will loosen up a bit and score some more.

We CANNOT lose tonight. Atlanta won today, and we cannot afford anymore gimme games to these losers.

We haven't been able to afford loses the last 3 weeks. It's been painful when we have dropped games.

Oh, Danny Boy!

3-1! PPG

Marty has scored his 100th point of the season too on that one!

Scratch 42 for Martin St. Louis! He's tied with Bradley now!

Short handed goal. 4-1

Actually Marty PASSED Bradley with that goal! Wooooooohoooooooooooo! 43

and it's only as if I'd be embarrassed by my extra exuberance if someone was actually, ya know, talking in the thread with me

Jason Ward scores on the empty net... 5-2 final from Times Palace. They keep up the pace with the THrashers...

Now that was actually a fun game to watch.

Sorry about not commenting during the game . . . I have a 2 year-old son who is quite a handful when it comes to bedtime. I usually can only get online once or twice a day.

Anyway, when was the last time the Bolts won both games of a back-to-back? And St. Louis and Vinny - just plain scary. You almost feel sorry for the other goalie.

Craig's best game in forever, and it's nice to have Ranger back in stride. If Holmqvist and the team can just stay in sync from here on out we might have something here. That's still a humongous IF, though..

Too bad only the Isles lost tonight. Everyone else kept up with us..

NB -- sorry to come off like I was urging you to join the conversation specifically. There were a few people who were here as Guests but not participating in the conversation. Plus I had some people from Boltsmag sign up to participate and then... they left
