Very good question indeed Jester.
Smaller question is who Tortorella is going to rotate out of the starting lineup tonight? He's vowwing to do it to light a fire under both the forwards and the Defensivemen. |

This game makes me nervous - I have a feeling it will take a few games for the new guys to get comfortable with our system, and we could lose some close games in the meantime. I hope I'm wrong, though. Losing to the Panthers always makes me gag.

You know, Brat, I had that "few games to get assimilated" thought during the Caps game the other night. Torts can't afford to sit the new guys but he can't afford to sit the regulars who were performing OK either.
This is the night for Stewart and O'Brien to earn the fans attention... |

Easy E at the Trib says the lines will be:
Vinny Prospal-Vinny Lecavalier-Marty St. Louis Eric Perrin-Brad Richards-Ruslan Fedotenko Karl Stewart-Tim Taylor-Nick Tarnasky Jason Ward-Ryan Craig-Kyle Wanvig Johan Holmqvist in net. wish he added the defensive pairings. |

The Panthers just freaking own Holmqvist, which is inexcusable. Johan needs to get over whatever causes him to crumble like coffee cake against them. If not for Denis this would have been a lot uglier. A shame because I thought the Bolts had a good opening couple minutes before giving Florida two freebies on the first two shots for them.

It is, which makes me glad there won't be any playoff games there.
But jeez are we playing bad, with the exception of a few guys like O'Brien, who is looking very comfortable with the puck in our system already. Denis holds them in it, get to within 2-1 thanks to a miraculous appearance by Pratt on the scoresheet, and the rest of team STILL won't have any of it. |

And another reason why I hate FSN/Sun Sports and where they are going:
Anyone just notice Rick and the Chief reviewing "the Road Ahead" and how the western games at the start of the trip were clips of the PANTHERS playing each team (Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary)??? |

But, no. They'll be providing up-to-the-minute full coverage of the conference tournament in the Georgia Dome. Nary a mention of the other one over our home ice. Then will block regional coverage of CBC's entire Hockey Night in Canada slate from pre-game doubleheader to After Hours. |
