Are the Capitals re-tooled or deflated after the deadline?

Talking to myself here but that first period was horrid. Not just that but the Brashear penalty was a joke...

Yes, very sloppy first period. Hopefully, they can straighten it out in the next two periods.

The Brashear penalty is one of the worst penalties that I've ever seen called. Absolutely horrible.

What rule says they can't just wave off the whistle? Why did they go forward with it?

I'd fine all the officials on ice during that one for going forward with the penalty. That just hurts the league when they botch things up like that.

Richards should of had an empty netter to end the game. Thanks to the ref getting in the way... it's tied.
