So I guess everyone's back at SunSports huh? Mostly, at least. Last time I looked (earlier this week) they hadn't made the software switch yet but they were saying it was "imminent".

Oh, no, I'm still here. SS board messed up my password so many times that I haven't bothered trying to post there for a long, long time. I'm not sure why everyone went back to it - it still sucks.
Anyway - Congrats to Vinny for getting 50 tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed that they can pull out a few more wins and squeeze into the playoffs. |

NB, I know exactly what you mean about the password stuff. That ancient software lost mine as well over, and over, and over again.
Marty's one away from Bradley now.... And I've officially lost JDHebner's Vaclav Proposal point total contest. I had wagered 46 for the season early on over there. |

It's just hard to keep switching between multiple boards. If I had to make the choice I'd pick these boards but if people aren't moving and the conversation isn't going then it's hard to leave. I almost wish they'd just shut down the Sun boards while they take forever to "upgrade" them so it'd force people to move, heheh..

That was my follow up thought after Navy's comment about being logged out. People won't switch because others won't switch. Folks won't switch as long as the majority of the community stays there at SunSports

So Oceanic heard back from SunSports TV concerning the message board software... The forthcoming new message board software that they've repeatedly bragged about and alluded to? Not happening.

"You know, it really is. The software and whatnot is a huge upgrade but it just doesn't have the Bolts presence ... yet. Maybe if we moved in mass over but there are just too many posters that I enjoy reading here. I will continue to use both, but it would be nice to get everyone one in one place. PS ok, so it is really all about me... I would just like to have less web sites show on my usage report here at the big company. " |

There is less of a Lightning presence on the forum and the regulars aren't normal posters here. But I do want to point out that this forum has RSS syndication so if you only want to venture here when there are new posts, you can just subscribe to the news feed and viola.
Never the less, jester, hoek, Danny and every other SS forum regular is welcome here (yes, you too secorp. I may have put you on ignore but you insinuated I was a racist... what do you expect?)

I've asked privately, but lemme ask publicly too: any suggestions on what would make the forum worth venturing too (of course, the regular Sun screw would help)? DrBolt's post on the thread at SunSports was something that had to be spoken about: the tabloid content (one post about a player's private life -- and yet one post too many) was a result of a slow forum... But if everyone doesn't want that stuff posted in here from now on -- so be it.

In the past those on SS board have done an excellent job in policing themselves. When someone has posted something that was out of line, members were very quick in pointing out one's mistake on the board and for all to see. I see no reason for that not to continue along with the board moderator having the last say.
