St-Louis for Turco swap?

Apparently, there is a rumor making the internet that Tampa Bay would trade Martin St-Louis to Dallas for Marty Turco in a player vs player trade, the Lighting waiving Marc Denis was step 1 to make room for Turco.

That's and old rumor, there was nothing to it then and I don't think there is anything to it now. The Bolts have other issues besides goaltending.

Goaltending is a big issue and it has been for yeras since they were stupid enough to let The Bullin Wall go.

^^ "Stupid enough" should read "They chose to keep Vinny away from Montreal instead of signing Khabibulin (who had a horrid season in 2005-06 that showed he didn't deserve the money he got).

The Lightning are NOT DEALING. Here's a FACT that EVERYONE ON THE INTERNET needs to comprehend:

The Lightning are -- at this juncture -- a business transaction. They are a good being sold from one group to another. They cannot take ON payroll, nor can they SHED payroll unless the groups agree to do so. No such agreement (no sales agreement either) has come to light.

So where others see the Lightning as needing to shed, or mix things up, or something else... Well, the truth is the Lightning can't do crap. Jay Feaster's hands are tied until the ownership situation is cleared up. Marty's staying. Boyle's staying.
