Here's some additional info from Bernie's Pressbox:
Notes from Dan Kriegshauser of 1380: * Aaron Miles has returned; reached the stadium at 2 p.m. * La Russa says Todd Wellemeyer will be activated in time for tonight's game; it appears that Brad Thompson will be sent down only because he pitched so much last night and isn't available to pitch for this ATL series. But the Thompson part isn't official... I'll update as info surfaces. -B |

You are right, kat!
Wellemeyer is in and Thompson is out. We have rain. AccuWeather.com - Saint Louis, MO - Weather Forecast - Local Weather Forecasts Saint Louis, Missouri (63101) Conditions & Forecast : Weather Underground. Saint Louis Weather Forecast and Conditions Missouri I'm locked in on FSN MW! We need to play this game, even against Smoltz. The preview hasn't clicked over yet for the lineups. FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Game Trax Yahoo coverage MLB - Atlanta Braves/St. Louis Cardinals Box Score Friday August 24, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports I like them. I plan to turn my computer off for watching some baseball. Last edited by Coop; August 24th, 2007 at 06:03 PM. |

Wells reverted to the picher with absolutely zero confidence last night. He looked scared at times....his lackluster effort combined with "4" errors and no offense was not a recipe for victory....although Smoltz did have a bit to do with our lack of offense.
On the bright side it was good to see Duncan get a 2 out 2B to drive in two runs....We had better have a good effort by Piniero tonight which I think we will. Defense needs to tighten up. Two consecutive games with 4 errors won't cut it. We need to have that "kick a**" attitude in all facets of our game....and be consistent.... |
