I have been having some computer problems. I don't know that I will keep posting the schedules. I don't guess that they are important, anyway.
The Memphis Redbirds are at New Orleans Zephyrs @ 6PM. Probables: Tomo Ohka vs Philip Humber. Will they continue the losing streak as they go on the road? Memphis Redbirds: Home AM 560 Sports 56 WHBQ - The Voice of the Fan! Memphis Commercial Appeal - Memphis' Source for News and Information: Redbirds I went last night. I don't think Hawksworth can throw over 91 MPH. He had a good game pitching out of trouble. The pitching was good. Hanson and Ankiel made 2 good fielding plays. Ankiel has won few games hitting, while leading the PCL in homers. I think he has lost quite a few looking very bad with his bat. I don't think he should be moved up, except at the end of the season. The Springfield Cardinals are at Frisco Rough Riders @ 7PM. Probable: Mitchell Boggs. I have seen on 3 different lists 3 different pitchers for Frisco. I don't know how they get 3 different pitchers on the mound at the same time. A difficult arrangement for sure. The batters will have to be very careful dodging 3 baseballs at the same time. Minor League Baseball: Clubs: Springfield Cardinals Radio Springfield :: Meyer Communications Springfield Cardinals The Palm Beach Cardinals are at Sarasota Reds @ 4PM. Probables: Adam Ottavino vs Logan Ondrusek. Palm Beach Cardinals: Home The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are at Swing @ 7PM. Probables: Tyler Herron vs E. Fernandez. Minor League Baseball: Clubs: Swing of the Quad Cities Truth1270.com - Christian Talk for the Quad Cities - Home The Mahoning Valley Scrappers are at Batavia Muckdogs @ 6PM. Minor League Baseball: Clubs: Batavia Muckdogs The Johnson City Cardinals have the day scheduled off. Minor League Baseball: Clubs: Johnson City Cardinals The GCL Nationals are at GCL Cardinals 11AM. Minor League Baseball: Scoreboard: Scoreboard The VSL Cardinals are at VSL Phillies @ 10AM. Minor League Baseball: Clubs: VSL Cardinals Minor League Baseball: Scoreboard: Scoreboard Minor League Baseball: Multimedia: Gameday Audio Off topic: St. Louis is at Cincinnati @ 6PM. Probables: Wainwright vs Lohse. FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Schedules Additions and corrections are appreciated. Thank you. |

Thanks Jim.
Very impressive. In the home edition of Commercial Appeal they had Redbird Postgame which wasn't online, today. It mentions Tm Raines Jr.'s pinch hit off Kelvin Jiminez driving in the losing run. Hawksworth's impressive game. Sizzlin' Mather's home run that I forgot to post. Our only run. Fizzlin' Ankiel. Tomo Ohka has agreed to stay with Memphis 2 more starts. They are waiting to see if Stinnett will report to Memphis. Pagnozzi caught last night. I was glad, but teams run on anybody we have, often without a throw. Three catchers listed on the roster, but we need a carcher who can hit and throw. |

You are right. Our pitchers are not good holding the runners.
Thinking about it, there is very little our team is doing good. Memphis box Minor League Baseball: Scoreboard: Scoreboard Last edited by Coop; June 30th, 2007 at 05:10 PM. |

Lot of shuffling in the minors the last few days
Degerman is promoted to Palm Beach. And Quad Cities is going to the traditional 5 man rotation - Hernandez, Furnish, Dickson, Garceau & Herron. King has been sent down to Batavia. Jason Cairns has been activated off the DL. The hot bat at Batavia, Steven Hill was promoted to QC, along with reliever Marco Gonzalez. Charlie Pelt was moved up to Batavia from Johnson City, along with JC closer Pete Parise. Johnson City has signed P Ray Silva out of the Univ of Texas-PanAm. They also called up draftees Joey Hage and Tony Cruz from the GCL club, while sending light-hitting (so far) draftee Brian Buck down to GCL.

Jim - I went back and checked out the Top Prospect lists that ArRedbird and I put together back in January. I had Rosales at #30.
I missed out on a few players - Mather and Walters - for sure. My own saving grace on Mather is that I picked him to have a breakout year, along with Webber, on another thread. And my pick as "Comeback Player of the Year" is doing me proud - Kyle McClellan. I think I'll go back and update my Top 40 this week. (Probably will exclude this year's draft choices till I can get a better handle on them).
