Default Rating System

One of the features of the board is the ability of readers to rate a specific thread by clicking on the rating button. Some readers will notice the stars and open/read a thread with a good/excellent rating over a terrible/bad rating.
Some readers will read everything on the board.

The rating system is set up as follows:
One Star = Terrible
Two Stars = Bad
Three Stars = Average
Four Stars = Good
Five Stars = Excellent

As I'm looking over the forum, I'm noticing that someone is rating almost every thread as bad (1 star). Now, I'm not sure if the rater does not understand the system or if its being done by design. I'm hoping that it's a reader who just doesn't understand the rating system and that this would clarify the system for them.

If it's being done by design, I would ask that the person or persons responsible to stop.
