Default X-Cards who have signed elsewhere for 2007

Thought it might be nice to start a thread to track the X-Cards and where they have moved onto. As you run across X players, feel free to add them to the list.

From Baseball America's latest signings -
C Gabe Johnson - Detroit Tigers
P Tyler Adamczyk - Chicago White Sox
3B Scott Seabol - Florida Marlins
OF Prentice Redman - Seattle

Earlier, I saw John Gall had signed with the Florida Marlins.

OF Timo Perez - minor league deal with Detroit Tigers

Our friend from up the east coast, Lamar Boone, sent me the following X-players:

(Jason) Karnuth with Tigers, (Carmen) Cali and (Jeremy) Cummings with Twins.....

Thanks for the info Lamar. At least someone is reading my posts and following along

For those who are new around here, Lamar was the Potomac Cannons Booster Club President when the Cards had their Hi-A club at Potomac. He's always been a good confirmation source for us over the years.

Amazing isn't it? Timo Perez gets ANOTHER chance. I wish I had marginal enough talent to be the 29, 30, 31th player in an organization's depth.

At least it's a pay check

Just ran across another player - Jason Burch - recently traded by the Rockies to the O's.

Burch was part of the Larry Walker trade. Narvy, Luis Martinez and Burch for Walker.

Here’s an oldie for you – Tom Herr is now the manager of the Hagerstown Suns (Washington Nationals Class A team).

Here’s the link to the story on the MinorLeagueBaseball.com site -

And here’s a bonus article on John Mabry signing a minor league deal with an invite to the Rockies ML Camp - Minor League Baseball: News

Doing a little surfing to catch up on what's going on in baseball and I checked out Lamar Boone's site - PotomacNationalsBoosterClub.com and he had updates on a few X's.

SS Jason Bowers - Resigned with the O's
Boots Day - Hitting Coach with the AAA Columbus team (Nationals farm team)
Mitchell Paige - former Cards hitting coach - signed with the Nationals and is their minor league hitting instructor.

I thought Paige was coaching a Major League team last year. I wonder what happened. I hated it when he hit his bump in the road. Hope he isn't still fighting the same demons. I still think he was one of the best Hitting Coaches we have had.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Mitch was with the Nationals last year as their hitting instructor. Could be wrong though, but that sticks in my head for some reason. Might have just been re-assigned by the Nat's.

Here's some more players that I ran across when looking to answer AARP'ers Q on Boyd, Moylan, Leek and Martin at the Baseball America site.

P John Webb - Cubs
SS Omar Pena - Royals
P Travis Smith - Dodgers
P Spike Lundberg - Dodgers
C Mike Rose - Indians
2B Aaron Herr - Reds
C Alberto Castillo - Red Sox
INF Joe McEwing - Red Sox
P Sam Walton - A's

Haven't found info on Leek, Martin, Moylan, Boyd.

Have we mentioned Scott Seabol?
He is still a Marlin, a NRI to spring training,
according the the Marlins' web site.

Remember this player?

Bucky Jacobsen-1B

Paraphrasing the Seattle Times:
Free agent Bucky Jacobsen may play in Asia or Mexico in '07.
He spent last year with the Long Island Ducks and has been
hoping for a job this off-season. But only AA offers have come in.

In 42 games in '04 for the Mariners, Jacobsen put up
decent numbers: .275/.335/.500.

He's now 31 yr-old and has struggled to come back
from knee surgery after the '04 season.

Good luck, Bucky!
Thanks for signing a program
for me at Pringle's Park in Jackson, Tn!

I wonder if any of the BuckyBackers are still around. They used to travel to where ever Bucky was playing to support him.

Found another player a few minutes ago. Third baseman Fernando Tatis has signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers.

Let's just hope there are plenty of gas stations around the ballpark. Bleacher, I think you know what I mean!
