Default Questions for Winter Warmup - Minor League Session

Looks like I'll be able to get into the minor league session on Monday after all.

As we've done annually, please list your questions that you want us to try to ask. It all depends on the size of the crowd on how many we can get in.

One question already asked - Will lefty Troy Cate be given the opportunity to start next year and at what level?

Here a few questions I have interest in:

1. Who are the top VSL/DSL/Latin prospects

2. With draft/scouting & development both under Luhnow control ( Manno's duties changing) - will we notice any changes in approach.

3. Any thoughts of converting recent high round pick starters to relievers this season - specifically - Lambert, Webber & maybe even McCormick.

4. If all goes as planned in spring training - at what level should we expect the following prospects to start: Rasmus, Anderson, Garcia, Pomeranz, Hawksworth, Jay, & Perez

Thanks for providing this chance Bleacher,
Jim

I'm with vegasjim -- asking about switching some to relievers
(like Pals, Lambert, etc.)
a collateral pitching question:
Who is the next pitching surprise -- ala J Kinney / T Johnson / B Thompson ?
-- a pitcher who jumps to the big club ?

What's the starting pitching staff at Memphis going to look like?
Starting staff at Springfield?

4 young lefties:
Jaime Garcia, Brad Furnish, Tyler Norrick, Adam Daniels.
Where do they start the season?
What do they need to improve on?

back later...

Bleacher -

Ryan Ludwick intrigues me. If he lights it up in Jupiter, can he make the big club as the 5th outfielder? Or was he signed mainly for Memphis and backup during the season.

They probaby won't answer this question, but outside of Hawksworth, which 5 minor league starters "at this point" have the highest ceiling.

I'm getting ready to head down for today's session, so I'm going to close this thread.
