Story

They are predicting he will miss some of Spring Training, but he should be ready for opening day.

I saw the same story. Thanks for posting it (Stlkat is falling down on her hero).

I'd rather have Jimmy take it easy thru most of spring training and be ready to go at the starting bell. He's proven in the past that he can handle an "easy start" camp.

I'm not too worried. Jimmy can usually get back in into the "swing" of things, pardon the pun, pretty quickly. He usually doesn't need all that long in Spring Training to be ready for the season...

Bleacher, as much as I love Jimmy, my "real" job pays a little more and I have been too swamped to comment. But, while I wait for some data to install on my computer....

To me it's a non-issue. He should be ready for Opening Day and we all know it doesn't take Jimmy long to get ready. One of my favorite quotes from Tony Larussa, "Jimmy could fall out of bed and get a hit". 'Nuff said!
