The community at the scout.com message boards did a Cardinal prospect list as well, going up to 50, started by yours truly. There were a few people who took part in the voting who see all of the games at a certain level, so I feel like it is one of the better community lists. The only issue with it is that we started the list before the season ended so guys like Kinney and Cate are underranked. Another bad thing about starting a list in-season is certain players can go on a hot streak which would influence the voting. This is the reason why Edwards is ranked so high. Here it is...
1. Colby Rasmus 2. Blake Hawksworth 3. Bryan Anderson 4. Jaime Garcia 5. Adam Ottavino 6. Chris Narveson 7. Stuart Pomeranz 8. Jonathan Edwards 9. Chris Lambert 10. Mitch Boggs 11. Cody Haerther 12. Tyler Greene 13. Mark McCormick 14. Nick Stavinoha 15. Jonathan Jay 16. Christopher Perez 17. Tyler Herron 18. Mark Hamilton 19. Brendan Ryan 20. Blake King 21. Randy Roth 22. Daryl Jones 23. Mark Worrell 24. Jose Martinez 25. Josh Kinney 26. Isa Garcia 27. Gary Daley 28. Tyler Norrick 29. Eddie Degerman 30. Skip Schumaker 31. Mike Parisi 32. Cory Meacham 33. Adam Daniels 34. Nick Webber 35. Trey Hearne 36. Mike Sillman 37. Andy Cavazos 38. Eric Haberer 39. Amaury Marti 40. Brad Furnish 41. Troy Cate 42. Rick Ankiel 43. Dennis Dove 44. Shane Robinson 45. Christian Reyes 46. Matthew Lane 47. Thomas Pham 48. Juan Lucena 49. Jarrett Hoffpauir 50. Donovan Solano |

Thanks!
Some of the "usual suspects" but in a slightly different order. Pagnozzi as best defensive catcher caught me off guard a little, but it shouldn't have. And if Brendan Ryan is the best defensive infielder, then we'll have to keep an eye on him this year. |
