I'm surprised he didn't get more money.... Good luck Soup. You will be missed.

I agree. He could have made more money.

I think we will definitely notice his absence. Watching him pitch for the Royals and Pirates, when Walt annouced his signing I was ecstatic. Many people thought I was nuts. He is a steady performer. That is a high compliment in my book. The baseball season, as we all know, is a long and hard road. To be consistent over a 162 season is difficult if not impossible. Suppan wasn't pretty, wasn't flashy, just took the ball got you innings, and for the most part kept you in the game. I think in 2007 we are going to miss that rock in the middle of the rotation.

I am glad as he moves on that his 2006 post season leaves good memories. In my eyes he will be one of the greatest players to wear the BoB in the unsung hero category.

I think he was a much better pitcher for the Cards than before. Hope he can continue the success.

Whoever said we need to find the "next Suppan" had it right.

We may have him in Kip Wells. Wells and Suppans numbers are very similar. I think Wells has the potential to do wonders under Duncan's watchful eye. Hopefully he is 100% healthy.....
