Is tomorrow the deadline for signing our FA's? I saw a calendar on ESPN that led me to believe this is the case. If someone has more information I'd appreciate it.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/s...e=mlb_calendar If so that means we have 36 hours to negotiate with Mulder, Suppan, and Weaver. As for Mulder, I would imagine he is on his honeymoon. That would make it unlikely that we could get anything done. |

ESPN has an outdated schedule based on the old CBA. The new CBA allows team to continue talking to their free agents up to the point that they sign.
Here's the 2007 baseball "important" date schedule per MLB. January 4-13, 2007 Salary arbitration filing period (for the Cards - this date affects only Taguchi & Flores, if they haven't come to an agreement by this date) January 17, 2007 Exchange of salary arbitration figures (see above) February 1-20, 2007 Salary arbitration hearings (see above) February 15, 2007 • First date injured players, pitchers and catchers may report to Spring Training • Waivers secured on/after Nov. 11 expire at 5 p.m. ET February 16, 2007 New waiver period begins. February 20, 2007 First date all players may report to Spring Training February 27, 2007 Mandatory Spring Training reporting date for all players March 2, 2007 First date to renew contracts.
