Our middle infielders destroyed us all year and now that we are eliminated, nobody can get those slugs out.
Dump all of them! I hate them. Do it when it counts!
I hate Izturis as much as anybody who has ever played for the Cardinals.

Win #83. Cards take it 12-3 and get 3 out of 4 from Arizona. Pineiro wis his last start of the year and evens his record at 7-7. Good relief pitching. Back to back dingers by Albert and Ludwick.
Back with the recap in a few minutes.

The Cards had 17 hits. Albert had 3 with a double and his 35th HR. He has 112 RBIs. Izturis had 3 with a triple and Lopez had 3 singles. Ludwick had 2 with his 36th HR. He has 108 RBIs. 1 single each for Barton, Schu, Glaus (he also had 4 BBs), LaRue, Kennedy and Miles.
Pineiro is 7-7. He went 7 innings giving up 3 runs on 3 hits with 2 BBs and 7 Ks. Kinney went 1 inning with 1 BB. His ERA is still 0.00. Perez finished it with 1 inning giving up 1 hits with 1 BB and 1 K.
Now, we can watch the other games tonight knowing that we won. Tomorrow, it's Loop vs. Arroyo.
See ya later.

Don't get too worked up there, Coop. Cesar wasn't the best, but neither was he the worst middle infielder. Re-signing him for next year wouldn't excite me, but neither would I cry about it.

Hot in the bleachers today (no shade at all). Not that the pressure is off the Cards scored a ton of runs and knocked Arizona out of a chance to tie for the NL West.

Pujols' and Ludwick's HR's landed just feet from each other - just clearing the wall in left field. Back to Back. Glaus almost made it back to back to back when he drilled a deep fly ball that ended up foul down the left field line.

Announced attendance was 40K+, but they were lucky to have 20K at the game today.

Can the Cards run the table to end the season?
