Maybe you, like me, forgot Mark McGwire was human ten years after his record-breaking season. His painful refusals to "talk about the past" and his unwillingness to return to St. Louis had me all but fed up with McGwire, but this story is different. It shows a human side of Mark that not a whole lot of people have seen. I highly encourage you to read it, leaving all grudges aside, and remember for a moment the unforgettable presence about that summer in 1998.
