I guess that I don't get it. Izzt threw 38 pitches. We'll have to see how he feels tomorrow. Now McClellan is in after throwing yesterday. What is the point of havinf g Mulder in the pen if you're not going to use him? Let's save him for the Mutts? HUH!.

Sorry for being a sceptic but the use of the BP really bothered me. It looks like TLR put all of his eggs in this basket and it did work out short term.
The Cards had 14 hits and they made most of them count. Albert had 2 with his 17th HR. LaRue has to be given 4 stars. He had a triple and HR. The good news is that Ank had 2 with a double and Duncan had 2 singles. Schu had 2 with a double and Miles had 2 singles. Ludwick and Ryan each had a single. Kennedy was the only one without a hit. Loop got his pitch count up early. He only lasted 3 1/3 innings giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits with 4 BBs and 2 Ks. Perez got the win. He's 2-0. He went 1 1/3 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits with 1 BB and 1 K. Springer saved the day again by striking out the only batter he faced. Izzy went 1 2/3 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits with 1 BB and 4 Ks. Kyle got his 17th hold. He went 2/3 of an inning giving up 1 run on 2 hits. Franklin got his 11th save. He went 1 2/3 innings giving up 1 hit with 2 Ks. Some other good news is that Milw lost so we have a game lead in the loss column. Other than that, Houston and Cic won while Pitts lost. The Cubs play tonight. Some good news on the Minor League front as well. Be sure to check in with Coop for those results. Tomorrow night, at home, it's Lohse Vs. Maine. See ya later. |
