Also, in the weather news, Memphis has code orange ozone warning.
Code Orange TITLE Memphis players will not be the only ones needing strap on oxyzen tanks. Does Albuquerque have high ozone? I'm hoping to see the Memphis Redbirds play great baseball and get 2 wins. I want to come back and give a report that is all good. I want Barden - SS , Freese - 3B , Hoffpauir - 2B , Anderson - C . There will be others used, but I want to see those guys and I hope that they impress in a good way. Maybe, Anderson will start catching and throwing better. I hope. We need catchers. OF - Rasmus, Haerther, and Stavinoha should be better than the other times I have seen them. Mather looked good before. I want him to play in these games. They will be two seven inning games. PCL scoreboard
Pacific Coast League: Scoreboard: Scoreboard Game 1 Pacific Coast League: Scoreboard: Scoreboard Albuquerque Top 1st Lorenzo Scott strikes out on foul tip. Chris Barnwell doubles (17) on a line drive to left fielder Cody Haerther. John Gall strikes out swinging. Tagg Bozied reaches on fielding error by third baseman David Freese. This was a bad error by Freese. He thought about the SS who was backing him up and an easy ground ball went off his glove. Chris Barnwell scores. Dallas McPherson strikes out swinging. Walters came out of it OK. The batters weren't doing much on his slow pitches. I think he had movement and location. Memphis Bottom 1st Brian Barden doubles (16) on a fly ball to left fielder John Gall. Colby Rasmus singles on a line drive to center fielder Lorenzo Scott. Brian Barden scores. Colby Rasmus out at 2nd, center fielder Lorenzo Scott to first baseman Tagg Bozied to shortstop Chris Barnwell to second baseman Andrew Beattie. Nick Stavinoha pops out to first baseman Tagg Bozied in foul territory. Josh Phelps called out on strikes. |

At times Seddon was having problems and P.J. helped by striking out.
He should have left the bat on his shoulder. He got a win with his pitching any way. Besides the error he had good infielding. The outfielders didn't get any difficult plays. The game ended with Hoffpauir going back for a popup just in front of Rasmus. A really good catch. |

Pitcher Change: John Wasdin replaces Clayton Mortensen, batting 9th. John Baker strikes out swinging. Chase Lambin flies out to left fielder Gabe Johnson. Lead 5-4. Mortensen did OK. He got ground balls. I didn't see any pitches over 90 MPH. He is tall and thin. |
