Jaime Garcia had control problems today - 105 pitches/ 58 strikes. He gave up 8 hits in 6-2/3 IP, along with 2 BB. But, the only run he allowed was on a HR pitch. He is now 3-2 at Memphis. Nice to see him battle without his best stuff and still get the W.

Cody Haerther provided all the runs that Garcia would need on the day. 2-3 (single and a double) plus a walk. More importantly, he drove in 3 runs on the day. Nice to see Cody finally getting some playing time. It's in short supply with Duncan and Rasmus getting all their AB's. And with the year Stavinoha is having, he's getting much needed AB's for Memphis.

Matt Clement at SPR. Done after 5 IP. 75 pitches/ 45 strikes. 8 groundouts/4 flyouts. 7H, 3 BB, 1 HBP, 3 R (earned), 6 R allowed. 1 HR.

After 5-1/2, SPR is trailing 6-2. HR by Brandon Yarbrough for the 2 runs (Martinez on base after an error by ARK).
