Parisi has been ineffective once again and is now "taking one" for the team in order to save the pen for the weekend series with Houston....Cards on the short end of an 8-3 score....
It will be interesting to see if Parisi is sent down and someone else brought up....possibly a reliever for the weekend....or as Ewt predicted earlier....even Reyes makes his return as I doubt Parisi will have another opportunity at this level this go around....as Boog says...."Stay Tuned.".... I'd guess he is there.
Man, Kennedy is killing me. I used to like him. Has he totally forgotten hitting? Alzheimer's like me? How about Worrell's big Home Run! All our pitchers should be playing positions and batting regular. Obviously, that does not include Parisi. I have seen Parisi on the mound A LOT. I haven't, yet, seen him pitch. |

What a game, too bad we couldn't hold on in the end :-(
There was hardly any one there for the first game (4 or 5,000 fans). 2/3 of the fans were Cards fans. For the second game it was zimmerman bobble head day, it was probably 50/50 cards/nats fans despite the big Zimmerman give away. Skip messing up 2 catches killed us, I was pretty happy to see them comeback from those two blunders. Too bad Franklin gave it up. Oh well, overall great series as the Cards take 2 out of 3. |
