The Cards had 8 hits. Ryan, Yadi and Barton each had 2 singles. Izturis had the only extra base hit-a triple and Ludwick had a single. It was really over in the 1st. The Cards scored 3 and that's all they needed.
Wainwright was in control all the way. He is 5-2. He went 8 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits with 1 BB and 8 Ks. He threw 110 pitches and his ERA is 2.86. Perez finished it. He gave up 1 hit in the 9th. He still hasn't given up an earned run. That's it for tonight. Tomorrow evening, it's Lohse Vs. Oswalt. It doesn't matter how Oswalt is struggling right now. He always gives the Cards fits. Lohse will have to be on his game. See ya later. |
