A couple of notes & comment
Listen to McCormick' start at AA - announcer says he was on 45 pitch limit and action in the bullpen after 2 innings - realize he was coming off the tandem starting gig at PB & injury from last year, but surprised to hear his pitch limit is only 45. Wonder how fast they can stretch him out. When Herron came off the same program a couple of week's ago - I thought his 1st start was 75 pitch limit and he went to 90 pitches on his second outing. See on Bernie's forum that Ankiel has right shoulder trouble - could not go today and ? for tomorrow. No Mather in AAA line up makes you wonder if a move will be made. Also wonder if Lohse is ? - what will happen - after using 4 relievers today - looks like Parisi might need to eat some innings if necessary. After the last several years of focusing on the system talent being in the lower minors - it sure is enjoyable seeing the talent start to reach the majors and advance into the higher ranks of the system - it was only a couple of years ago when the AA and AAA rosters had a lot of journeyman minor leagues - now both rosters is almost all home grown.
