Perez Called Up

I don't know if this deserved it's own thread but the much speculated move has been made per the P-D.
I read conflicting reports last night. They said that Perez was at the airport and was told that he was going to St.L but that it had changed at the last minute. Now it seems to be official.

STLtoday - Cards call up Perez; Izzy on DL

apparently Jason "Box o'Rocks" Isringhausen injured his hand by slapping a tv after a bad outing the other night.

Perez's spot at Memphis was taken by Matt Scherer, who was activated off the DL. In addition, Memphis placed INF Rico Washington on the DL and activated C/INF Gabe Johnson.

At Palm Beach, 1B Brandon Buckman was placed on the DL and Andy Brown was moved up from Quad Cities. To fill Brown's spot, QC brought up OF Francisco Rivera from extended spring training camp.

Sufferred a hand laceration yet was able to appear in three subsequent games....and NOW it bothers him?....Fine, I'll buy it....so long as he gets himself straightened out....if he can.

I'll look forward to seeing Perez....

I've got the inside scoop on the hand lacerations. They came from rubbing up so many new baseballs after the old ones left the park.
