Jim Edmonds was released by San Diego today. although not surprised, I was hoping to see Jimmy again in July. Maybe he should just come back home and run f15teen!

In 2005 & 2006, he was my favorite player.

I still like him a lot. It is just that his time is up.

Well, Mozeliak sure called that one. Glad we got Freese and freed up some cash. But I don't think anyone thought Edmonds' decline would be that precipitous.

I loved watching Jimmy patrol CF, but he was breaking down and breaking down fast. Nobody likes to watch that happen to a popular player.

Freeing up that money will help a lot. Freeing up the playing time that he would have required has been a boon to our success.

I wish Jimmy the best.

Good find, bubby. I think this is probably the end of the line for Edmonds, but if he tries to return I wish him the best of luck.
