I think Steve Selby said Jason Motte threw upwards of 98 MPH last night.

If you see him, or Chris Perez, on the road with speed readings, please let us know what you see.

If Memphis starts winning, I will be wanting to look at this.
( In last place, it is not very interesting. )

Very nice line on Garcia's first start at AAA.
Only 82 pitches to get through 6 innings.
3 fly balls, 9 ground balls, 6 K's, 0 walks, 0 extra base hits.

Only concern -- the lead-off batter singled in 4 of the 6 innings.

But -- a very good sign -- his last inning, he set
them down 1, 2, 3, on a pop out and 2 ground outs.

Looks like Mather is in a groove -- both offensively and defensively.
He might well be the first OF who gets called up if anyone
in StL is injured or traded.

Hard to believe Jaime is just 21. The 15 groundballs vs. 3 flyouts really impresses me.

Today is a big day for Anthony Reyes. His success at Memphis will determine his trade value, and he knows that too. It would probably only take a few good starts to convince the Braves or Rockies that he's worth giving up a top 10 prospect for.

I hope Reyes finds a niche...in the American League -- ha!

(Rocking -- did you mean 15 ground-outs

or 9 ground-outs + 6 k for the 15 outs?

or were there 6 groundball singles?

i am )

AR-

Sorry, I meant to say 15 ground-outs, according to First Inning : First Inning.

Hope ARey can continue the good work tonight. So far: 3 IP, 0 ER, 3 K...

Nevermind. Reyes ends it at 3. Good to see him off to a solid start, though.
