I like Speez. I hope he gets the substance problems worked out.
The bad part is I hate the Braves. I see that TBS cancelled the Braves sitcom this year. Will Glavine have a strike zone? The other Braves on the bump? Glavine bragged about everything was called a strike. Braves and Yankees. $$$. How about some honest baseball. Of course, I remember the Pond Scum Mets, too. |

Didn't really know what the Braves expected when they signed him. I wish him all the best, but how many chances can a guy get to play in the big leagues? Give a guy who's worked his butt off a chance. Someone like Rico Washington.

Agree with you, Rockin, about giving hard-working players like Rico a chance.
I had no problem giving Speez a chance with the Cards. But reasonable expectations were laid down and he blew it. Looks like he did the same thing with the Braves -- showing up for a game unable to play/perform. Like bubbycardsfan says, it's tough. |

In 1 article that I read it said that Scott went thru another rehab program in January. In the same article it said that Scott was released by the Braves and according to Wren (Braves GM), Scott was physically unable to perform. It didn't give a reason, but reading between the lines it sounds like he had another relapse.
Hope Scott's family and friends will try to get him some help. Sounds like he really needs it before something tragic happens to him.
