Released

Hi Cardinal fans. I'm way behind on Cardinal news. I see where Dennis Dove and Eric Haberer were both recently released. Was there some sort of health problem for them being released?

I know Dove had some arm problems and lost his heater.
All I know about those 15 guys is, they just weren't doing as good
as other options.

Cranny & I saw Dove pitch Saturday before last against the Mets (AAA) at St Lucie. As Coop mentioned, he is battling back from last year's arm injury. During the game that we saw, he showed nothing on his fastball. The Mets teed off on him and he did give up the winning runs to the Mets that day. I would think that the Cards do not want to spend any more money on him as recovers from his injury.

Haberer - I have no clue why he was released. I think he was limited as a starter at AA and AAA for the Cards. But, I would think that he could have been shifted to the BP. What's the old line on lefties - if they have a heart beat......
