I like our OF. Even Memphis may get some from that bunch.
I sure hope our pitching comes around.
Can Izturis play baseball at all? Can Kennedy have a comeback?
With Barden sent down and Spiezio gone, I am getting concerned
about infield depth.
I want Brendan Ryan to get a full honest shot at SS.
Will Albert's arm and feet get him through the year?

Final Score: Braves 3 - Cards 1

Barton drives in Izturis for the Cards lone run today.

Motte throws another scoreless inning. Has he moved himself into a shot at the BP opening?

I notice Juan Gonzalez got some time in RF. Any reports on how he looked out there?

I saw the early part of the game and don't recall any balls going his way (in RF)

I did like Barton in LF. First time that I saw him play. Looks like a player. I'm thinking he'll stay on the 25 man roster unless a trade can be made for him with the Indians. Don't see the Cards returning him.

Coop - At least you don't have to worry about Cesar. He won't be coming to Memphis this summer ala Jr Spivey.

Cards got him for his glove, not his bat. Now, Duncan must get his pitching staff to throw pitch's that the opposing batters will pound into the dirt.

Over time, you'll find that Cesar is a BIG improvement over Eckstein with the glove and the arm at SS.

I don't want anybody to think that I know anything about Cesar Iztaris.
I never gave him a thought before the Cardinals signed him.
I follow music, not sports. I only came back to the Cardinals because of Mark McGwire.

I do know about Memphis. The minors are only for the big team.

I grew up in the 50's loving the Cardinals with Harry Caray. Stan Musial, etc.
We were Cardinal territory through Whitey Ball.
The WGN and WTB sitcoms did dilute it down some from real baseball.

Dean Jernigan did a first class job for fans with no profit motive.
The Cardinals shafted us with Spivey, etc.
People want to see a team that seems slightly competent.
Competitive. It has been awful for 2 years.
The losingest teams ever. Even free tickets are not accepted.
Autozone is a wonderful ball park.
I sure wish we had some baseball played by a Memphis team.
I'm sorry that I think the Cards may not be able to bring the fans back.
This seems dead.
