Cards rack up a 7-0 win at Roger Dean today. Schumaker starts fast out of the gate goin 3-4 with a Ribbie. Juan Gonzalez chips in another Ribbie, going 2-3 with a run scored.
Reyes and Castellnos each go 3 innings, giving up 2 hits apiece. Jimenez, Worrell and Motte each throw a scoreless inning, allowing no hits. Motte did give up a base on balls. Good start to the season, especially with all the news swirling around the off-the-field action. Today it was announced that minor league pitcher Donnie Smith had been arrested for an incident last Sept in Jupiter. Tack on the Spiezo release yesterday........
