Default Looks Like Clement won't be Ready for Opening Day

Derrick Goold is reporting this afternoon in his Birdland Blog that Matt Clement will not be ready on opening day.

Guess the #5 starter will get pushed up a slot. It's been reported that the Cards would only use the #5 starter twice in April due to the numerous off days that month.

At least Duncan said there was nothing wrong with his shoulder....no injury....just that he didn't have the arm strength as yet and will be continuing a long toss program to improve the arm strength....will be pitching by mid March....

Definately a need to be cautious....although I thought he was good to go....
